A mysterious girl descends on a fishing village and stirs up a storm by carrying on with two of the village's most coveted bachelors --- an engaged playboy and a rich seminarian. But why does it seem that it is a core group of the village's elders that are getting hurt one by one? the kindly landlords... the invalid lighthouse keeper... the influence peddler... the town's richest man... Would these men's sufferings be as unexplained if we learn that except for the rich man, all were previously involved in dynamite fishing resulting in the death of a fellow fisherman? His widow is given funeral money by the rich man in exchange for sexual favors.
